Thursday Email – Have You Tried Looking At Your Colleagues Like Family?

Thursday Email – Have You Tried Looking At Your Colleagues Like Family?
Namaste!

The word that we’ve been breathing in of late is ‘service’. We have used and heard this word so many times before in so many contexts. But the meaning of it is getting louder and clearer to us every passing day. When we see how we started off 5 years back and the journey till now, there’s such a stark difference in our approach towards how we do things at KnowYourStar.
In our effort to be of service in ways more than one, Volunesia was birthed, and now will see its third event this Saturday. Everyone’s invited. 🙂 At the same time, we have noticed so many changes among ourselves as a team. With the new monthly retreats that we’ve been taking up, things are just getting more beautiful by the day. To an extent that our personal and professional lives are merging into one, but very beautifully. They fit in together like two jigsaw puzzle pieces. And we all know the feeling of finally fitting the correct pieces together!

Our newest team member, Nandini, wrote about our recent retreat, and oh so beautifully! How often do you hear about team outings that involve a #MarchToEmptiness? That involve teammates pouring their heart out? Where you are comfortable to voice out all your work and personal problems without the fear of being reprimanded or judged? Where personal problems are not treated as excuses but as problems that need help solving? Read this article to know how we are turning into one little tight family. 🙂

If you are in a work environment that is stressful, or a place where you find difficulty in communicating with your team, we have simple ideas for you. We don’t know whether they will work, but we do know it will only add value and not take away any, and leave you feeling great at the end of the day! Email us.

We leave you with this beautiful tree one of our volunteers – Deena, created in Volunesia using twigs, leaves and things fallen around in the park; and some good reads below, for you to munch on until next Thursday!
