On behalf of the entire KnowYourStar team, I would like to wish you a very HappyRepublicDay! While the country enjoys the festivities of all the Republic Day celebrations, our kids across schools are proudly and loudly singing the national anthem, and chanting Jai Hind at the top of their voices!
With the same zest and hope, we at KYS have been exploring more schools in the neighbourhood with the help of some amazing volunteer groups. This week, we presented Mentor India to the members of the Rotary Club from Manyata Residency. It was a great gathering with some enthusiastic and supportive people. They wholeheartedly decided to volunteer, and immediately decided on which underprivileged school to visit too!
We visited the Thannisandra Government High School, along with some of the Rotarians, and had a talk with the headmistress of the school. We are expected to start our classes there in the month of July. We are so grateful to these wonderful people who were so eager to get started and invest their time, money and efforts to help these students.
If you want to make a difference in the lives of rural and underprivileged students, volunteer with us! You can also help by sponsoring some of the students, it will cost you as little as INR 300 per student. This Republic Day, let’s pledge to #BeKind to those who are less privileged around us.
