Thursday Email – Cultivating A Servant’s Heart On This Journey

Thursday Email – Cultivating A Servant’s Heart On This Journey

Namaste!

Yesterday we woke up to this beautiful piece of article written by our revered journalist and good friend, Ravindra Deshmukh in Karnataka’s number 1 Kannada daily newspaper, Vijayavani.

It talks about our student intervention programs in Brindavan Tent School and Chikkarasinakere Government School, and the intention behind it. Since it got published, we are so happy to receive many messages from volunteers from remote parts of Karnataka, expressing interest to take up similar programs in the schools in their neighborhood. They seek support and guidance so that the kids from their village/town can benefit too, and we are so happy to serve these excited volunteers. 🙂

Mother Theresa said, “Give your hands to serve and your hearts to love.” I read somewhere that real leadership is leaders recognising that they serve the people that they lead. And this has been so true in our experience. While the world acknowledges our work and wants us to lead this education movement, we are looking at this as a beautiful opportunity bestowed upon us by you to serve with folded hands. 🙂

This week, let’s explore – Servant Leadership. Inviting you to share your thoughts and learnings. 🙂
