Thursday Email – Thank You For Blessing Us With Multiple Forms Of Capital :)
Last week, we wrote an email voicing our pain points with Jaideep’s story of his 15-month no-salary journey. Within a couple of hours, we received so many responses, and this shower of motivating messages has not ceased to drop into our inboxes even after a week! We were so touched and humbled by this support we received, which we have always reiterated is our true currency, and we keep this very close to our hearts. <3
While these messages poured in from the most expected and unexpected places, the trust bank account also saw some action with well-wishers contributing whatever they CAN. (At KnowYourStar, we believe ‘can‘ is a very powerful word. We ‘cannot’ indulge in actions we just ‘cannot’ do, but there is always something we ‘can‘ do. The question is only – ‘Do we want to?’) 🙂
From a friend transferring his entire Diwali bonus… a team member’s big family coming together to send us a collective cheque… to a far-off hardly-spoken-to relative surprising with a contribution while mentioning that this was purely for the work being done and had nothing to do with being related!
You can only imagine how overwhelming these days must have been for us! Jaideep compiled some of the encouraging responses he received in yet another blog post (link below), where he also mentions how he finally drew a minimum salary this month! With the status of the recent contributions, we should be able to make do for another 1-2 months. What after that? Only you can tell. Our question still remains the same – CAN YOU HELP?
