Volunesia Diaries – A Volunesian’s Musings Expressed In A Lovely Poem

Harshita Sheshgiri wrote this beautiful poem about her second experience at Volunesia where the kids modelled beautiful solar systems with clay after watching an animated video about the outer space! (This was first published on her Instagram profile.)

I saw her mould the clay with her hands tender.
In an attempt to create something.
Something that lies in her mere imagination.
As she formed a model that was so abstract to my foolish mind,
I pondered,
Where did we lose all the creativity
that once we had.
Along this road of growing up we have knowingly and unknowingly chained ourselves.
To routines, to norms, to limits.
Makes me question my own originality.
Makes me wish to reinvent it again.
Makes me want to go back and bring back myself.
She smiles holding her creation.
Unaware of the li’l wonder that she is.
Giving us a perception that was long gone.
