Thursday Email – The Joy Of Simply Serving (Volunteering) And Enabling Serving (Contributing)

Namaste!

This last week, all our discussions at KnowYourStar have been revolving around serving. Coincidentally, we have also been coming across the article- A Servant Leader by Vinoba Bhave, again and again, through various means. So we took this as a sign, and decided to pass on the serving spirit to you by sharing this gem of an article today!

We realise that at the end of the day, all we are trying to do at KYS through all our activities, is to simply serve! And who better than little innocent kids to be the recipients? Through Mentor India, we have gotten such a great opportunity to serve for the better future of some bright and pure kids from Brindavan Tent School.

To continue serving for these students seamlessly, we are seeking some financial support for the students. You can sponsor one child for a year for INR 1400, which includes the basic cost of stationery, books and other materials that will be used throughout the course. (This does not include the charges for the time we are investing in the school, which we have voluntarily taken up.)

If you cannot sponsor a child completely, we are open to receiving a part of the amount that you think is feasible for you to gift. We are striving to get the contributions crowdfunded so as to cover all 40 students in tent school this year. Kindly help us in spreading the word! 🙂
