Thursday Email – How Important Are Our Actions, Even When Nobody Is Watching?

Thursday Email – How Important Are Our Actions, Even When Nobody Is Watching?

Namaste!

We, at KnowYourStar, recently received a very humbling email from one of the role models we got an opportunity to interview last year – Ghatam Suresh Ji. He shared with us that one of his long-distance students, Sylvester Moodley– who lives in South Africa, sent him an email mentioning our article and how it inspired him immensely!

Sylvester was not aware of the physical hurdles Suresh Ji had gone through in his journey to become one of the most celebrated Ghatam players in India. But when he read our article, he was surprised to learn a new dimension about his Guru, which inspired him to further deepen his practice. After learning about this, we felt great happiness in the fact that our heartful articles are doing what exactly we set out to do in the first place when we started KnowYourStar- inspire people to do the best they can!

So we decided to interview Sylvester and learn about his journey too! Who knows, someone else might get inspired by Sylvester’s journey. We would love for this chain to materialise!

A journey is nothing but a set of your chosen actions and you never know which action you do ripples out into the people around you. This made us realise how important it is to act mindfully every moment of the day, even when no one is watching! Mindful actions translate into beautiful ripples resulting in a heartful world 🙂

Having said that, it’s been a couple of weeks since we received the email from Suresh Ji, but the happiness we received from it hasn’t died down, which reminded me of this quote by Denis Waitley – “Happiness cannot be travelled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude.
How beautiful! I will take your leave, sharing two articles from this week we feel you will enjoy reading –
  1. Monday Truclusions – Choosing A Life Worth Living And Rejecting Mediocrity.
  2. Anusha Reddy – Striving For Diversity In The Indian Legal Community
