Thursday Email – A Week Of Action-packed Gratefulness!
A lot’s been happening this week at KnowYourStar!
Having launched Volunesia – our little effort to join hands in service, we are in full-on preparation mode to make the first Volunteer Morning a special one! We cannot wait for Saturday, to sit under the beautiful and wise trees of Cubbon Park, and behold the creativity and ripples that will emerge. When Nandini (who is driving this initiative) spoke to strangers on the street about this idea, they were happy to support it and pose with the hand-made posters she enjoyed making (after being highly inspired by her time spent at the HHH retreat at Sugadh, Ahmedabad last week). All with love and for love! 🙂
Meanwhile, Pranita had a very happy beginning at the Laddership Circle held by MovedByLove last Sunday morning. Five more weeks to go, and she says she’s never been more mindful about her days. Here’s a happy picture from the first circle, and a story she shared with them as a part of the assignment they had, where they were encouraged to interview someone and be ears to their story. MBL happily published the story about her conversation with her maid on their blog, which was nothing but the start of a very gratefulness-packed week!
Anjali is back from her vacation, and we waited no longer to schedule a meet with Madhumitha Venkataraman, who is our wonder woman whose superpower is Inclusion! We met her to get her guidance and support to make our website inclusive and help us build an inclusion curriculum, which we plan to make an integral part of Mentor India very soon. We’ll have more updates for you on this in the coming weeks. The conversation began over a cup of lemon tea, and ended with happy smiles! 🙂
In other news, Jaideep is back with a BANG (but not yet to BANGalore), from his interesting educational journey across the country. He’s been on a #MarchToEmptiness journey, which led him from Bangalore to Delhi -> Baroda -> Ahmedabad -> Jaipur -> Delhi, and soon back to Bangalore! He was featured in the reputed Kannada daily – Vijayavani, yesterday for his immense dedication and devotion in the field of education through Mentor India. Team KYS is so very proud of him. We are all shining in his glory!
